The Real Deal: Round-trip airfare on Air Lingus to Dublin; six nights in a two-bedroom villa, complete with a living room and kitchen, at the Heritage 5 Star Golf and Spa Resort in Killenard (about an hour from Dublin); a manual-transmission full-size rental car with unlimited mileage for a week from Dooley Car; admission to Belleek China Visitor Center; a discount booklet for the Shannon region containing up to $500 in savings; hotel taxes; fuel surcharges; and car-rental fees, from $499 per person—plus taxes and fees of about $125.

It is mandatory to have some form of rental-car insurance in Ireland and most credit card companies no longer provide coverage for it; optional basic collision protection is $77 for the week. Why it's a deal: According to a recent search on Kayak, the lowest round-trip fare for early December flights between New York City and Dublin is $575 with taxes (Delta). For an additional $49, the Aer Lingus Vacation Store package covers the international airfare, as well as six nights' luxury accommodations, a rental car for a week, and all taxes and fees.

More: Optional activities include a three-hour treatment at the Heritage Spa Experience ($40 per person) or a round of championship golf ($99 per person). Additional nights start at $99 per person, which also includes a car rental for the day.
